Hero Speculation: Epic Heroes?
I had this crazy idea today...
Think about how like the spider is considered like the "epic" pet because its so cool and hard to get to...
well i remember hearing that some heroes you will only get one chance to get or that you will have a choice between heroes and can only get one and thats it...
well what if in the later end of the game there are incredibly hard quests to find some heroes (they will be as powerful as any other hero... but like they would just look cooler i guess, thats what most stuff is for anyways, flavor). Like I doubt they would do this but they would put a hero far into UW or something and will only give you the choice to be with you only if you have nightfall campaign and maybe complete a hard quest for him while in UW. Just like the quests to get FOW armor.
Like we'll go to find a Paragon in FOW armor or something.. i dunno. just guesses.

Very possible to see "Epic" Heroes in special armor.
Be a nice end-game bonus, too.
I like it.

I believe it said somewhere there were 12 heroes. I doubt any of them are secret special heroes.

I'd rather you called them Obsidian heroes. Epic Heroes smacks of WoW.

I have already speculated about quests for heroes gotten from higher tiers of Sunspear ranks. And the elite mission for GWN (In an interview somewhere, it was said there will be 1 Elite Mission in GWN).

No, no, no!
I already told you this in another topic.
GWWiki lists 13, and states there is 12+ available. Not 12, 12+.
Besides, currently, it seems there is 3 warriors, 2 monks, 2 eles and 1 of every other professions (incl assasin) EXCEPT RITUALIST! Do you really think they will add 13 heroes, with 3 of the same type, but leave out one profession?
No way!

The GWWiki has never been a credible source of information and probably never will be. In fact is has had mountains and mountains of outright blatant nonsense posted on it about all sorts of aspects of Guild Wars.

"epic" is an adjective I somehow do not like. It stands for out-of-balanced waste of time more than anything else.
unlocking certain aspect of the game by means of the Sunspear Title Track was already part of the Preview.
Official Anet information lists 12 Heroes as part of Nightfall. Throwing in an additional hidden Hero or two is however not totally unlikely, considering Anet.

I'd love to have some monster heroes. It would be great to have a controlable and customisable Sand Wurm or Kuunavang on your team!
(Hmm...I think I saw a centaur hero in the second trailer....)

That is an extraordinary accusation, and one I personally can't claim to have experienced. Care to provide some extraordinary proof?
(Are you talking about builds? I might halfway agree with you that there are crap builds on the wiki, but to their credit they are trying as hard as they can to improve the builds.)

Can I have my own shiro hero please? With broken skills and all...
No? Ok then, I'll keep my crappy lvl28 mursaat elementalist hero.
Not either!? Bleh. Then I want a lvl0 skill-less Gwen hero.

Gwen hero would be total ownage, as long as it's the Gwen from the beta event that made multiple copies of herself and rained fire down on everyone in the towns.
